Munich, April 12, 2019 – Together with its European partners from the worldwide agency network Worldcom PR Group, HBI GmbH was nominated as a finalist of this year's Sabre Awards. The nomination in the category Corporate Institution - Institutional Image is based on the Europe-wide campaign for the EU Earth Observation Programme Copernicus. As the lead agency, HBI acts as a link between Copernicus and its European partner agencies.
The Copernicus services Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF), provide free data on numerous climate indicators such as temperature and precipitation. The climate information provided by Copernicus Services ranges from 3D animations of the ozone hole to CO² emission monitoring and long-term analysis of climate anomalies.
Thought leader in climate and environmental issues
With this campaign HBI establishes the two Copernicus Services as thought leaders for climate and environmental issues in Europe. With high-quality content for TV, print and online, which is communicated locally throughout Europe, HBI increases the general public awareness of Copernicus and the added value of the data the services bring to decision makers, companies and citizens of the EU.
Corinna Voss, Managing Director of HBI, commented on the nomination: "We are already among the top five applicants in our category. With its successful campaign, the HBI team has already succeeded against hundreds of competitors. This shows how much our proven combination of high-quality content and local expertise pays off."
The Sabre Awards ceremony will take place on 22 May 2019 in London.
